Delivery

The following are notes concerning the delivery portion of your presentation. I've tried to simplify and organize the notes that we came up with in class. Please comment if you would like to make any changes or additions.

Speech
- Slow
- Conversational tone
- Pause often (but not too often) and appropriately
- Repetition

Audience Interaction
- Know what your audience is doing. Keep attention and try to see if they are following the presentation. It is relatively easy to pick up on clues that you are going too fast, too slow, are speaking too technically or not technically enough if you pay attention.
- Move around. Get involved with your audience. See what they're doing.

Practice
- Practice Practice Practice!
- Practicing the presentation at least 3 times before hand will help incredibly with your presentation. You'll remember more of your presentation, and it will be much easier to find words and transition between slides

Hokay!

Well we're up!

From now until the end of time, I, and possibly others, will be blogging about presenting and presentations. I am currently a student at California Lutheran University and this blog was created to hold all sorts of notes, instructions, tips and whatnot to help other students, and even you(!), at creating and presenting all types of presentations (but mostly Power Point).

Hopefully we will see fellow students from the bioengineering major (at CLU) and elsewhere come in and comment, and perhaps even contribute.
